BECOME A MENTOR

Brief Mentoring Program Overview

You will be paired with a mentee seeking mentorship in your area of expertise. The program includes six one-hour meetings to share your knowledge and guidance. Meetings are typically held every 2–3 weeks, with the goal of completing the program within 5 months. The maximum duration for completing the program is 12 months.

Meeting Structure

Meetings will be one-on-one and can be held in person, online, or by phone, as agreed upon by you and your mentee.

Program Responsibilities

As a mentor, you are expected to:

Prepare diligently for meetings with your mentee.
Conduct yourself professionally at all times during the program.
Demonstrate a genuine interest in the mentee’s growth and development.
Show commitment to FIAQ and the mentoring program.
Complete and submit mentoring reports as required.
Provide monthly invoices for mentoring and preparation sessions (if participating as a contractor).

Important Notes

FIAQ and its representatives act only as facilitators for the program and are not liable for the conduct of participants.
If you are paired with a mentee, you may be required to sign a contractor’s agreement with FIAQ.

Engagement Options

VOLUNTEER BASIS

I will volunteer my time for this program.

CONTRACTOR BASIS

I have my own ABN and will provide an invoice for each mentoring session.

Each session will be remunerated at $100 (plus GST if applicable).
An additional half-hour per session will be paid at $50 (plus GST if applicable) to cover preparation, travel, report writing, etc.
Total remuneration for six mentoring sessions and preparation time is $900 (plus GST if applicable).
