Deja has quickly established herself as a rising talent in food product development at Primo Foods. Joining as an intern in 2024, her strong performance during a 13 week placement led to a permanent role in the Product Development team, where she has continued to excel. She has already delivered two high impact projects. Deja led a brine wastage project, mapping the full process to optimise consumption and reduce waste, delivering more than three hundred thousand dollars in annual savings, lowering water use, reducing trade waste, and easing labour demands. She also improved the salami greening and maturing process, increasing throughput and unlocking valuable production capacity.
Through her technical skill, initiative, and focus on sustainable and efficient solutions, Deja has made a measurable contribution to Primo Foods and shown exceptional potential as a future leader in the food industry.
