FIAQ proudly welcomed for our first conference this year, a look at reducing food waste in Australia, and how any wastage can be used in other ways through food rescue.

Thank you to our speakers, who presented an amazing presentation for different perspectives.

Melissa Smith from Stop Food Waste Australia, is working Nationally to create a strategy to halve Australia’s food waste by 2030

Bob McMillan from FoodBank Australia accept donations of all kinds of food and groceries from farmers, manufacturers and retailers and pass the items on to families in need, or to organisations like FairShare to produce meals from donations.

James Fine from FairShare showing how working with companies and other organ

isations can provide food for the vulnerable and those in need, by utalising food that could end up in landfill.
