A standout achievement is his pioneering work in vanilla extraction. Mickael developed new formulations and processing techniques that improved vanilla strength, quality, and consistency from agronomy through to final application. His innovations have reduced production costs, increased yields, expanded the use of Dr Oetker’s concentrated vanilla, and ensured full utilisation of every part of the bean, removing waste and strengthening vertical integration.
His collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement have expanded Dr Oetker’s international footprint in vanilla production and created lasting benefit for the wider food industry. He is a highly deserving nominee for the Product Development and Innovations Award.
