As food and beverage manufacturing becomes increasingly automated, real-time quality monitoring is creating new opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency and product control. In this session, Connie Bridger from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) shares how automated quality monitoring has been incorporated into the state-of-the-art can line at the Richlands manufacturing site. The presentation explores automated monitoring of key quality measures including can seam integrity and fill levels, providing significantly more data than traditional manual checks while enabling earlier fault detection and reducing manual inspection. Connie will also discuss the practical challenges of integrating multiple technologies, managing data security and accessing specialist technical expertise. This presentation provides a practical industry example of how automation and real-time data can strengthen quality control while improving production efficiency.
